"After seeing both the Bourne Identity and the Bourne Supremacy, I fell in love with the music. When the opportunity came up to put together a competitive routine for a synchro team, I thought of The Bourne Supremacy straight away. After doing a few cuts with team members listening to the music over the phone and in my car, the final piece was put together.
Our aim this year, seeing as though it was the first year TR had competed, was to challenge the skaters whilst having fun and not loose the joy of skating. As most of the skaters had come from competitive Senior teams, we all felt it was time to take a more relaxed approach to training. This proved to be beneficial for all involved as I feel that the girls really wanted to be there and skated better because of it.
The routine was difficult in sections and very easy in others. There were quite a few names given to our routine, my favourite being “we look like we have terrets syndrome”. I also loved the girls interpretation of the “disco” arms (where our yet to be choreographed artistic routine was born). There were also some very proud moments when some of the girls had been struggling with certain moves and when it came to comp time, they pulled it off! More hydroblades Sarah B?
This is the just the beginning for TR. From here we go up….and up……and up……"
