About Team Renaissance

Team Renaissance:

TR was established in February of 2007 as an adult team by a groups of former competitive senior synchro skaters. The team was created to give former elite synchro skaters a place to come back onto the ice at a less intensive level, yet still maintain a highly respectable standard of synchro skating.

Majority of the team has represented Australia at international competitions and World Championship events. The team is an amalgamation of former members of many highly competitive teams across Sydney. Team Renaissance intends to be competitive yet remain a team that has fun, enjoys training and competing with many goals that we have set out for ourselves.

We represent the Macquarie Ice Skating Club in Sydney.

Team Name:

'Team Renaissance' was selected as the team name as it represents many factors that has brought us all together. "Renaissance" means re-birth, creative time and a period of great change - words which are all relevant to the establishment of the team.

- Australian Championships
- Possible other adult competitions around Australia

Long Term:
- International Adult competitions

Team Colours:

Green & Gold - these colours were chosen to represents the fact that the majority of the team is made up of former Australian representative synchro skaters. We also aim to represent Australia at internationals in the adult synchro division.

Side Notes

Boot Plaques:

TR skaters wear boot plaques on both heels of their skates. The top point of the crown has a synthetic diamond inset.
