A brief history…Back in 2003 Lauren was asked by Steph to come join her on the senior team she skated for. Unsure of what she was getting herself into, Lauren decided to give it a go and was hooked! Their time on the team together included an international competion tour, lots of mischief and plenty chocolates! The training schedule for senior was heavy and was an experience of a lifetime they will never forget. 2004 was the last season for the senior team as many skaters from the team moved into retirement. In 2007 Steph was forming TR and in her hunt for skaters, Lauren was a natural choice. They now spend more time laughing than they do skating.

Off the ice…Steph and Lauren not only skated together they also worked together! But have now moved onto bigger and better jobs. Lauren works for Shop Til You Drop magazine as a graphic designer, Steph's new job is to be anounced!

Multi talented…In 2008 they both recently graduated from uni in areas of design. Lauren graduated from Billy Blue with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Communication Design. She runs the team magazine 'Wenaissance' given out to skaters at competitions. Steph graduated from the College of Fine Arts, UNSW with a Bachelor of Design majoring in textiles and graphics, with studies in ceramics, photography and jewellery. She runs the TR website!

As a designer...Lauren is inspired by artists especially illustrators, fashion, celebrities, magazines, nature, city life. She also has an obsession with any kind of stationery, jewellery, collecting post cards and keeping EVERYTHING! (that includes all cards, diaries, letters (even those cute little love letters from her childhood). Steph is inspired by the textiles of Finnish company Marimekko, the objects of Alessi and Marcel Wanders, the photography of Man Ray and the surrealist art of Dali. She enjoys photography, silk screen printing and has a secret obsession with buttons! She doesn't get Philippe Stark designs.

Down the track...they both hope to continue skating! Lauren aspires to be an art director/ fashion stylist or even the editor of a large fashion magazine. Then again if all of that doesn’t happen then she aspires to marry someone rich and live a very luxurious life, traveling the world, socializing with the rich and famous, eating good food and most of all have the worlds biggest and greatest wardrobe. Steph aims to be a photographer and is obsessed with travelling, so if she could combine the two, that would be her ideal job. She hopes to live in New York one day. But for now they look forward to the season ahead and many more adventures together!
